About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to cover a maternity leave contract. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day finance responsibilities of the company and preparing management accounts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Purchase Ledger Management: Oversee the purchase ledger, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments.
- Sales Ledger and Credit Control: Manage the sales ledger, including credit control and debt collection.
- Bank and Cashflow Reporting: Prepare and analyze bank and cashflow reports to ensure the company's financial stability.
- Project Job Tracking: Assist Account Managers in tracking project jobs, including updating job changes in Paprika and Excel.
- Timesheet Management: Check and process timesheets on Paprika to ensure accurate payroll processing.
- IT Management: Serve as the intermediary between the team and external IT and Dropbox suppliers, monitoring IT and spending budgets.
- Management Reporting: Prepare monthly management reports in Excel, including revenue and profit reports.
- Year-end Accounts: Draft year-end accounts and produce nominal reports.
- Commercial Insight: Provide commercial insight to support the Managing Director, including client contracts and revenue forecasting.
Requirements:
- Previous Experience: Previous experience working within a creative/media/PR business.
- Paprika Skills: Strong Paprika skills are essential.
- Qualifications: Either qualified or part-qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA/QBE.
- Experience: Experience working in a similar role.
- Excel Skills: Strong Excel skills are required.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with people at all levels.
- Commitment: Able to commit to a 12-14 month contract.
- Commercial Awareness: Good commercial awareness is essential.
