Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, United Kingdom University of Gloucestershire Full time

Marketing & External Engagement Department

This is a hybrid role and the successful candidate will be expected to work 2-3 days a week on campus

This is a 1 year fixed term maternity cover position

Internal communications in a University setting provides an opportunity to work with and across two distinct but related audiences – our student population, and our staff. We are looking for a talented and creative Internal Communications Officer to join a small Internal Communications Team at University of Gloucestershire, to help run and develop our communications channels.

The MyGlos app is the University's primary platform for student communications, providing students with access to key university resources, such as emails and personal timetable, as well as news, events and essential updates.

In addition to publishing University-wide communications and information relating to specific courses or departments, you will contribute to the layout and navigation of MyGlos, responding to feedback and user data to improve the overall user experience.

For our staff audience, we are looking for someone who can run engagement activities, embed University values into our communications, and follow internal communications best practice to ensure staff are kept up to date.

The successful candidate will have excellent written communication skills, and strong experience of web editing and content management systems. Proficiency with design software such as Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop, is desirable, along with an understanding of HTML and data analysis.

We are committed to building a diverse and inclusive staff community and welcome applications from currently under-represented sections of our workforce.
