Job Title: Senior Estimator

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Estimator to join our team at Construction Resources Limited. As a Senior Estimator, you will play a crucial role in the pre-construction process, responsible for preparing accurate and detailed estimates, tenders, and budget proposals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Compile accurate estimates, tenders, and budget costs using company historical data and industry knowledge.
  • Identify opportunities and risks during the tender process and provide recommendations to the Pre-Construction Manager.
  • Liaise with the Business Unit, Pre-Construction Manager, and Bid Manager to ensure a smooth delivery methodology.
  • Develop coherent and consistent tender submissions using estimating software packages.
  • Work collaboratively with the Pre-Construction Team and Delivery Team to secure direct award and negotiated opportunities.
  • Maintain strong, professional relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, design teams, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Prepare estimating documentation and lead estimating presentations at Tender Launches, Settlements, and Handover Meetings.
Requirements:
  • Sound experience in construction methodology and estimating processes.
  • Broad knowledge of the construction sector and building processes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience of managing processes and people.
  • Dedication and high attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent knowledge of IT systems, including Microsoft Office packages and estimating software relevant to the construction industry.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload, with effective time management skills.
  • Ability to coach and mentor team members.
  • Strong bid and commercial acumen.
  • Ability to perform successfully in a challenging working environment.
