Equipment Service Technician Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Equipment Service Technician to join our team in Ashford, Surrey. The successful candidate will have previous experience working in the Plant, Automotive, HGV, or Agricultural industry, as well as experience working with hydraulics and mechanical and electrical systems.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform maintenance and repair of plant machinery and equipment at client sites.
  • Diagnose complex technical issues and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance.
  • Offer training and support to clients' staff on machinery operation and maintenance best practices.

Salary and Benefits:

The successful candidate can expect a salary range of £30,000-£32,000 base salary, with opportunities for overtime pay at 1.5x (£21-£24 per hour). In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive training scheme, relative internal progression routes, and a range of benefits including 22 days Annual Leave + Public Holidays, Salary Sacrifice Scheme for additional annual leave, and full training & development.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working in the Plant, Automotive, HGV, or Agricultural industry (essential).
  • Previous experience working with hydraulics, alongside mechanical and electrical capabilities (essential).
  • Experience working on engines would be advantageous.
  • Electrical and/or Mechanical fault finding, repair & service experience.
  • A desire to lead, manage and grow a team of your own.
