Job Title: Mechanical Engineer - Derby

Are you a skilled Mechanical Engineer looking for a new challenge? We have an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Derby, working on a variety of projects including Adessia, HS2, Monorail, and other Urban projects.

About the Role:
  • As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for mastering and managing Computer-Aided Design (CAD) activities and deliverables on an area within the Mechanical Domain on projects in compliance with QCD commitments.
  • You will apply applicable Mechanical Domain instructions, processes, and tools to perform project Mechanical Domain activities in compliance with QCD commitments.
  • You will plan and pilot Mechanical Domain activities and related deliverables on projects, taking into account applicable instructions, processes, and other specific Customer (internal or external) requirements.
  • You will ensure Mechanical Domain deliverables quality and their acceptance by the Customer (internal or external) within committed limits.
  • You will report on Mechanical Domain activities progress and alert relevant N+1 in case of issue potentially impacting achievement of QCD commitments.

Requirements:
  • Relevant degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
  • Proven experience in Mechanical Engineering, preferably in the Railway industry
  • Strong understanding of CAD software and design principles
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
