Job Summary
University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust (279) is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated midwife to join our team. As a midwife, you will be responsible for providing high-quality, holistic care to women during the antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal stages.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess, diagnose, and provide professional clinical midwifery care to women without referral to a medical practitioner.
- Ensure referral to the appropriate health professional and work in partnership to ensure safe standards of care.
- Take full responsibility for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating midwifery care consistent with evidence-based practice.
- Discuss options and support parents in making informed choices in their plan of care.
- Act as the client's advocate and empower them to promote their own health and well-being.
