Job Title: Sous Chef

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Sous Chef to join the culinary team at Baxendale Mason Ltd, a luxury hotel and spa in Surrey. As a key member of the kitchen team, you will be responsible for assisting the Executive Chef in the preparation and presentation of high-quality cuisine in our two restaurants.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Executive Chef in menu planning, food preparation, and presentation
  • Supervise and coordinate the kitchen team to ensure efficient service
  • Monitor food costs and inventory levels to maintain profitability
  • Ensure adherence to health and safety standards and food hygiene regulations

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Sous Chef in a similar environment
  • Strong knowledge of contemporary cuisine and menu planning
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
