We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chef Manager to join our team and lead the production of high-quality Sushi at Marks & Spencer in Manchester. The ideal candidate will have experience in leading people, building confidence and capability in their team, and maintaining high standards at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the team to maintain audit standards for food and health & safety compliance, meeting EHO expectations.
  • Ensure the team maintains a high standard of cleanliness and food safety on site to maintain a safe environment for customers, clients, and ourselves.
  • Prepare fresh ingredients by hand, including meat and raw fish products each shift.
  • Accurately label products ensuring lawful compliance around food safety and allergen compliance each shift.
  • Be a skilled multitasker and an early riser as shifts can start at 6am some days.
  • Learn new skills or improve skills already mastered.

Requirements:

  1. Level 2 Food Safety certificate, HACCP, Allergens, and COSHH are desirable although not essential as full training will be provided.
  2. Experience in leading people and building confidence and capability in their team.
  3. Pride in work, constantly looking for ways to improve and continually learning.
  4. Good understanding of Food Safety & Health and Safety regulations, ability to follow brand standards and comply with company policies.
