About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Fixed Asset Accountant to join our financial accounts team. As a key member of the team, you will play a pivotal role in developing and maintaining all aspects of the fixed asset process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Consolidate the Fixed Asset Register (FAR) on a period-by-period basis to support the year-end process and reconciliation.
  • Provide support to the budgeting and forecast function, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Build relationships with the wider business on items of a capital nature, fostering effective communication and collaboration.
  • Process and monitor additions and disposals accurately, ensuring compliance with UK Accounting Standards.
  • Mitigate risk by maintaining accurate documentation for audit sampling, ensuring the integrity of our financial records.
  • Proactively address ad hoc requests, providing exceptional support to the team and stakeholders.
Requirements
  • CIMA or ACCA qualified, with a strong understanding of UK Accounting Standards.
  • Experience in transacting and controlling all aspects of fixed assets, with a focus on process improvement and development.
  • Proficiency in advanced Excel functions, with the ability to analyze and present complex financial data.
  • Knowledge of finance system management and internal control, with a focus on risk mitigation and compliance.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
