Horizon Search & Selection is currently working with a leading manufacturing company based in Thetford to find a skilled Regulatory Affairs Professional to join their busy R&D/Technical team.

This is a challenging and responsible role that requires a candidate with previous experience in a similar Regulatory role. The company offers a full-time, permanent position with a negotiable salary based on experience.

About the Company

The company develops and manufactures cleaning products for their own brand products as well as other brand owners and grocery own brand labels. They have one of Europe's largest cleaning product facilities based in Thetford.

About the Role

Due to growth, an opportunity has arisen for an experienced, knowledgeable, and meticulous Regulatory Affairs Associate. Working as part of the busy R&D function within the company, you will provide support to the Head of R&D and assist the team in New Product development, ensuring all associated technical documentation is accurate and up-to-date. You will also be responsible for ensuring the company adheres to all relevant chemical regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Providing support to the Head of R&D and the R&D team
  2. Managing global consumable product labelling and safety data sheet information
  3. Supporting the creation and submission of regulatory applications for biocidal products, REACh, and other associated regulations
  4. Administering global biocidal regulatory authorisations and renewals, and any applications for exemptions for REACh-related work
  5. Reading, analysing, and sifting through large regulatory texts to identify pertinent information
  6. Providing internal guidance on the impact of regulations on proposed new and existing product technologies
  7. Knowledge and understanding of global biocidal product regulations, REACh, Detergents regulation, labelling (CLP), and MSDS
  8. Supporting the team with any compliance-related activities
  9. Advocating the company's position on relevant regulatory topics

Requirements

We are seeking candidates with previous experience in a similar Regulatory role. A Degree-qualified education in a Chemical or Scientific subject is preferred. The ideal candidate will have experience in addressing Regulatory matters and a deep knowledge of dossier submission. Previous experience in household or personal care is highly desirable, but other similar industries such as Chemical manufacturing could also be required.

Desirable Skills and Attributes

  1. Demonstrable experience within Regulatory Affairs or a similar field
  2. Ability to communicate with internal team members and external stakeholders at all levels
  3. Excellent attention to detail
  4. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and a confident and professional telephone manner
  5. Ideally educated to Degree Level in a scientific subject
  6. Excellent MS Office Skills
  7. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment within a cross-functional team
  8. Ideally some regulatory certifications or accreditations would be advantageous
