We are seeking a dynamic and inspirational Physical Education Director to lead our thriving department at Wayman Learning Trust.

This is a full-time temporary to permanent position commencing in January 2025 offering an exceptional opportunity to shape the future of physical education and inspire a love of sport and healthy living in young women.

The Role:

  • Provide strategic leadership and direction for the Physical Education department developing and implementing a comprehensive and innovative curriculum that meets the needs of all students.
  • Lead and inspire a team of dedicated PE teachers fostering a collaborative and supportive working environment.
  • Oversee the planning and delivery of a dynamic and enriching PE curriculum that encompasses a variety of sports activities and health-related topics.
  • Encourage and support students to participate in a wide range of sports and activities fostering a culture of sportsmanship, teamwork, and healthy competition.
  • Effectively manage the department's resources ensuring the provision of high-quality equipment and facilities.

Requirements:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a genuine passion for Physical Education.
  • Demonstrate successful leadership experience in a PE department or similar setting.
  • Possess a strong understanding of physical education pedagogy, coaching techniques, and health-related fitness.
  • Be a highly motivated and inspiring leader with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Work effectively with colleagues, students, and parents to create a positive and supportive learning environment.

Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum
