We are seeking a skilled Scientific Laboratory Technician to join our team at Latis Scientific Ltd. As a Scientific Laboratory Technician, you will play a key role in supporting our scientists and researchers by providing high-quality laboratory support services.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent analytical skills, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. You will be responsible for preparing and extracting analytical samples, conducting basic laboratory testing, and ensuring the accuracy of results.

We offer a competitive salary of £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits including 2 wellbeing days, pension, enhanced parental leave, and 28 days holiday.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. LABORATORY SUPPORT SERVICES: You will provide high-quality laboratory support services to our scientists and researchers.
  2. SAMPLE PREPARATION AND EXTRACTION: You will prepare and extract analytical samples, including basic analysis using classical wet chemistry techniques in accordance with laboratory test procedures.
  3. LABORATORY TESTING: You will conduct basic laboratory testing where appropriate, ensuring the accuracy of results.
  4. RESULTS CALCULATION: You will calculate results, ensuring that they are accurate and reliable.
  5. HEALTH AND SAFETY: You will ensure that health and safety procedures are adhered to at all times.
  6. QUALITY CONTROL: You will ensure that quality procedures are adhered to at all times.
  7. LIMS DATA ENTRY: You will enter data into the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
  8. QUALIFICATIONS: A minimum of G.C.S.E grade C or above in Science, Maths and English or two years laboratory experience is required.
