Senior Design Manager Job Opportunity

Corepeople Recruitment Limited is seeking a highly skilled Senior Design Manager to join a regional design management team. As a key member of the Project Delivery team, you will play a crucial role in the management and control of the design process for high-profile, new-build construction projects.

About the Role

The Senior Design Manager will be responsible for ensuring that design information packages align with project requirements. This will involve:

  1. Facilitating design team meetings to drive collaboration and efficiency
  2. Ensuring designs and proposals are fit for purpose and delivered within deadlines
  3. Managing the design team to achieve project goals
  4. Engaging with commercial and operational teams to ensure seamless project delivery
  5. Implementing quality management processes to maintain high standards
  6. Programming design deliverables to meet project milestones
  7. Managing sustainability initiatives to minimize environmental impact
  8. Overseeing document control and resource management to ensure efficient project execution

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build effective relationships with stakeholders

Tier 1 main contractor background or larger regional contractor background with experience in design management

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CAD knowledge is a plus

Organised with excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
