**Job Description**

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Nursery Nurse to join our team at the University of Bath. As a key member of our Early Years department, you will play a crucial role in supporting the development of our children and shaping their early years in a positive way.

Salary: £24,044 - £25,433 per annum (pro rata)

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the team in providing high-quality childcare and education to young children. You will also be required to complete tasks in line with the Statutory Framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage, as well as maintain children's records and carry out assessments.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in planning and providing safe, appropriate, child-led, and adult-initiated experiences, activities, and play opportunities indoor, outdoor, and in out-of-setting contexts.
  • Support the Room Leader in supervising and monitoring Nursery Assistants, casual workers, students, and volunteers.
  • Be a good team player with sound communication and organisation skills.
  • Have knowledge and understanding of the EYFS curriculum with the ability to support the development of our children.
  • Have relevant qualifications (minimum NVQ Level 3 in Childcare and Education or above).
  • Be able to work in a team to observe, assess, and plan as a key person.
  • Be able to produce written documentation to support the progress of individual children, being sensitive to their needs.
