About the Opportunity:

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Legal Secretary to join our litigation department on a permanent basis.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will provide administrative support to the Head of Department and Fee Earners in case preparation and legal matters generally.

We are looking for a highly organized and motivated individual with previous litigious experience in a legal environment. The role requires a strong ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities:
  1. Audit Typing: Provide high-quality audio typing from digital dictation and copy typing.
  2. Case Management System: Utilize a case management system to efficiently manage cases.
  3. Client Communication: Deal with clients in person and via telephone, ensuring effective communication and customer satisfaction.
  4. Message Taking: Take accurate messages and respond accordingly.
  5. General Office Duties: Perform various general office duties as required.
  6. SRA Compliance: Ensure compliance with SRA guidelines and regulations.
Requirements:
  • Previous recent legal secretarial experience in Litigation is desirable.
  • Ability to hit the ground running from day one.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Hold a relevant degree/qualification in law.
  • Full UK Driving License.
Salary:

£25,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience.
