Cover Supervisor Job Description
We are seeking a reliable and flexible Cover Supervisor to join our team at a Secondary School in Newton Abbot. The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of various subjects and be able to adapt to different classes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Active supervision of work, giving students clear instructions to remain on task and responding to any queries
- Communicate effectively with students to keep them engaged in cover lessons
- Manage behaviour in line with school policies, promoting positive behaviour
- Display effective organisational and time management skills and the ability to be highly flexible in a busy school environment
- Display good Literacy, Numeracy and communication skills to support and include all students
- Work in conjunction with other staff members to get the best out of the students
- Report back to the teacher as and when required
