Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: Bournemouth

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to support students in SEN and SEMH schools across Bournemouth. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of young people and helping them reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support to students with additional needs, helping them engage with learning activities.
  • Assist classroom teachers in adapting lesson plans and resources to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Help implement behaviour management strategies to promote a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Foster a safe, nurturing environment where students feel supported both academically and emotionally.
  • Assist with personal care tasks, where necessary, to ensure the well-being of students.
  • Work alongside other staff members, therapists, and educational professionals to develop and deliver effective learning strategies.
  • Maintain clear and effective communication with teachers, parents, and external professionals regarding student progress and needs.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with students with additional needs.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion.
