Job Description

The Head of Real Estate and Housing Credit plays a pivotal role in our organisation, responsible for the 2nd line credit team. This senior leadership position manages the Group's Commercial & Residential Real Estate, Social Housing, House builders, and Hotels credit function, covering both Corporate clients and SMEs.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement and maintain the credit risk strategy for the Real Estate & Housing businesses.
  • Conduct oversight and provide assurance of 1LOD activities ensuring effective LBG Credit Risk controls.
  • Act as a Senior Sanctioner for significant transactions.

This challenging role requires expertise in sector and product-specific credit areas to support Group and customer requirements, navigating economic uncertainty.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Critical Requirements:
  • Proven real estate debt transaction expertise, either in coverage/credit or restructuring environments.
  • Leadership experience managing high-performing teams.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, including experience engaging at Executive levels.
