Corporate Banking Leader Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Corporate Banking Leader to join our team in London.

This key role requires strong leadership, analytical and communication skills. The successful candidate will support senior bankers, manage client relationships and be accountable for ensuring excellence in all deliverables within Corporate Coverage.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sponsor the Managing Director and Director in the origination, structuring and execution of transactions on clients.
  • Develop and implement strategies to grow client relationships and increase revenue.
  • Lead risk analysis on a portfolio of clients, either reviewing or undertaking independently.
  • Provide coaching and development opportunities for junior colleagues, helping them to grow and succeed.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality results and exceed client expectations.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders and colleagues, ensuring clear understanding of goals and objectives.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive team culture, promoting diversity, equity and inclusion.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Analyze data and trends to inform business decisions and drive growth.
  • Evaluate performance and provide feedback, helping individuals and teams to improve and achieve their full potential.

Requirements:

  • A professional qualification with expert understanding of Corporate Coverage.
  • Strong product awareness, especially in flow products.
  • In-depth knowledge of Corporate Coverage processes and advanced understanding of the end-to-end transaction process (including credit and documentation processes).
  • Strong product knowledge in both Corporate and Investment banking products.
  • Excellent analytical skills, with ability to analyze complex data and identify opportunities.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with ability to motivate and inspire others.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to build strong relationships and influence decision making.
  • Strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail, with ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office and email, with experience using investment banking databases (e.g., Factset, Dealogic, Bloomberg).

Estimated Salary: £120,000 - £160,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
