Behaviour Support Specialist Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated Behaviour Support Specialist to join our team at Aspire People. As a Behaviour Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individual and small group support to pupils with SEMH needs, adapting learning activities and materials to meet their needs.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff to develop and implement behaviour management strategies and targeted interventions.
  • Assist in the development of social skills and emotional resilience in pupils, fostering a positive and inclusive school culture.
  • Monitor and record pupils' progress and behaviour, providing feedback to the SENCO and other relevant staff.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs is essential.
  • Strong understanding of behaviour management techniques and interventions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle challenging behaviour in a positive manner.
  • Flexibility, patience, and a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.
