Avenue Scotland - FALKIRK is seeking a skilled Procurement Assistant to play a vital role in managing various aspects of the procurement function and logistical operations.
Main Responsibilities:- Sourcing goods, materials, and services required by the organisation.
- Negotiating supplier pricing and contracts.
- Placing daily purchase orders with suppliers.
- Controlling operational aspects related to places, times, and strategic planning for purchases.
- Maintaining detailed records and accounts and reporting to the Procurement Manager.
- Staying up-to-date with market trends.
- Experience in a procurement-related role.
- CIPS or similar qualification in purchasing preferred but not essential.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel spreadsheets.
- Good understanding of Sage Line 500 system or other similar procurement software.
- Adherence to Company and Regulatory documentation and procedures.
