Procurement Assistant

Avenue Scotland - FALKIRK is seeking a skilled Procurement Assistant to play a vital role in managing various aspects of the procurement function and logistical operations.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Sourcing goods, materials, and services required by the organisation.
  • Negotiating supplier pricing and contracts.
  • Placing daily purchase orders with suppliers.
  • Controlling operational aspects related to places, times, and strategic planning for purchases.
  • Maintaining detailed records and accounts and reporting to the Procurement Manager.
  • Staying up-to-date with market trends.
Requirements:
  • Experience in a procurement-related role.
  • CIPS or similar qualification in purchasing preferred but not essential.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel spreadsheets.
  • Good understanding of Sage Line 500 system or other similar procurement software.
  • Adherence to Company and Regulatory documentation and procedures.
