Job Title: Accounts Assistant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounts Assistant to join our dynamic team at WorkForce Recruitment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in accounting who is looking to further develop their skills in a supportive and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and update financial records using accounting software.
  • Process accounts payable and receivable, including invoice management and payment processing.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements and reports.
  • Reconcile bank statements and ensure accuracy of financial records.
  • Support the preparation of VAT returns and other compliance-related tasks.
  • Assist with payroll processing and related financial activities.
  • Help manage cash flow and forecast financial needs.
  • Participate in month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Liaise with suppliers, customers, and internal teams to resolve financial discrepancies.
  • Provide general administrative support to the finance team as needed.
Requirements:
  • Experience with accounting software is essential.
  • AAT qualifications (or working towards) are a plus, but not essential.
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently in a busy work environment.
