We are seeking a highly skilled Power Electronics Engineer to join our team at Turner Lovell. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing power electronics converters for a leading engineering and manufacturing company.
Key Responsibilities- Design and specify power electronics converters to meet specific requirements.
- Develop analysis and modelling tools for megawatt power electronic converter systems.
- Test, evaluate and optimize low and medium voltage power electronic systems.
- Support project execution, ensuring timely, cost-effective, and high-quality delivery.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including tendering, testing, and commissioning.
- Coordinate with customers, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure seamless project execution.
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (Masters/PhD preferred).
- Expertise in power electronics converter design and electrical machines control methods.
- Strong knowledge of semiconductor devices, gating electronics, snubber circuits, and thermal design.
- Proficiency with design tools such as EPLAN, Mathcad, MATLAB, Simulink, PLECS, etc.
- Ability to obtain security clearance in the UK.
