Job Title: Assistant Professor

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Assistant Professor to join our team at Economicsnetwork. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading research and teaching activities in the field of power electronics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and lead an independent research activity in power electronics, with a focus on device design, fabrication, and testing.
  • Develop and deliver high-quality research, publish top-tier journal papers, and demonstrate the potential for impact from research.
  • Engage with higher education pedagogy and develop novel teaching methods, embracing changes in teaching technology and expectations.
  • Teach existing and new modules to the highest quality in undergraduate and postgraduate programmes of the Electrical and Electronic Engineering Discipline Stream.
  • Contribute to the development of the School of Engineering's research strategy and goals.

Requirements:

  • PhD in a relevant discipline, such as electrical engineering or power electronics.
  • Proven track record of research and teaching experience in power electronics.
  • Ability to establish and lead an independent research activity with international impact.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
