Financial Controller

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Financial Controller to join our team at McBride. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for managing the month-end reporting process, owning SAP master data and Hyperion FDM rules, and reconciling month-end exceptional costs.
Key Responsibilities- Financial Reporting: Control the month-end reporting process, manage the timetable, and close ledgers.
- SAP Master Data: Own and manage SAP master data, including Hyperion FDM rules and mappings.
- Reconciliation: Reconcile month-end exceptional costs and review with the Group Financial Accounting Manager.
- Process Improvement: Work with the Group Financial Accounting Manager to implement process improvements.
- Balance Sheet Reviews: Manage the balance sheet reviews process with Chief Accountants to ensure all entities are reviewed at least quarterly.
- Risks & Ops Reviews: Manage half-year and year-end Risks & Ops reviews.
- IFRS 16: Manage IFRS 16 processes and queries, including providing support to Chief Accountants to ensure accurate and complete recording.
- Leasing Software: Own and manage the leasing software data, customise reports, and act as super user.
- Group Net Sales: Manage and report the group net sales for month end.
- Financial Instruments: Reconcile month-end group financial instruments.
- Payroll Journals: Manage payroll journals for the group, using outputs from the ADP software.
- Cost Centres: Manage the creation of new cost centres and general ledger accounts for the group.
- Year-End Audit: Support the year-end external audit, being a key contact for the Group audit team.
- Internal Audit: Manage the implementation of internal audit recommendations, liaising with and supporting Chief Accountants as required.
- Statutory Reporting: Analyse additional statutory reporting to ensure accurate and complete data for Interim and Annual Reports.
- Legal Claims Review: Support the quarterly legal claims review to ensure completeness of provisions and relevant support for audit requirements.
- Process Improvement: Involved in process improvement and system implementation projects, as required by Management.
- Deputising: Deputise for and provide ad hoc support for the Group Financial Accounting Manager.
We are looking for a Part-qualified or Newly qualified ACA / ACCA / CIMA with experience in external audit. The ideal candidate will have strong technical competencies and qualifications, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
