We are seeking a highly experienced and forward-thinking Director of SHEQ Operations to join our Executive Committee and leadership team at OCU. As a pivotal member of our organization, you will be responsible for shaping and driving the strategic direction of our Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality functions across the business.
Key Responsibilities- Develop, implement, and lead the SHEQ function within the business, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Influence and guide the Board of Directors and senior management on SHEQ matters and represent the business externally as a brand ambassador.
- Oversee the execution of SHEQ policies, procedures, and culture programs across the business to ensure the integrated management systems (IMS) are effective on all projects and locations.
- Identify and implement innovative practices and technologies to enhance SHEQ performance, leading initiatives that drive operational efficiency and risk mitigation.
- Set ambitious SHEQ performance targets, monitor progress, and ensure accurate reporting, utilizing data-driven insights to inform decision-making and continuous improvement.
- Work closely with clients, regulatory bodies, and other stakeholders to uphold the highest standards of SHEQ governance and enhance our industry reputation.
- Proven ability to influence and coach senior leaders to drive successful change management initiatives, with a focus on sustainability and ESG.
