Project Manager

As a Project Manager, you will play a critical role in driving project delivery and bid activity, managing customers and suppliers across multiple countries and time-zones, and establishing and maintaining team organization and communications plans.
About the Role
The successful candidate will have 3+ years' experience in a similar role, ideally holding a Project Management qualification. They will have experience of managing technical projects, preferably within the defense, aerospace, oil and gas, rail, or similar industries. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Project, is essential. The ideal candidate will also have knowledge of 'waterfall' lifecycle and EVM.
Key Responsibilities
- Take full responsibility for project delivery and/or bid activity
- Manage customers and suppliers across multiple countries and time-zones
- Establish and maintain team organization and communications plans
- Create and maintain project schedules and expediting of tasks
- Use appropriate planning techniques to help identify project resource requirements and manage availability with functional managers
- Work with Supply Chain and Commercial teams to ensure contract baselines, plans, and schedules are maintained in line with agreed contract changes
- Develop and maintain monitoring and control of project deliverables
- Efficiently deliver clearly focused customer and company project financial and schedule performance reporting
- Maintain project risk and opportunity registers, arranging regular reviews and communicating in monthly reporting cycle
- Support development of project management capability to support business & company growth (including managing own personal development)
