Job Summary

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Private Client Tax team in Bristol. As a Private Client Tax Manager, you will provide tax compliance and advisory services for a wide range of private clients, including individuals, trusts, private companies, and family offices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of clients, including sole traders, partners, HNWIs, non-UK domiciliaries, non-UK residents, partnerships, and trusts.
  • Identify advisory possibilities and opportunities for clients and manage these projects.
  • Liaise with Partners, demonstrating strong management skills, including appraisals, staff performance monitoring, on-the-job training, and dealing with staff questions.
  • Manage the administration of client portfolios, ensuring compliance, accounts, tax returns, and tax computations.
  • Prepare reports for clients, attend client meetings, and respond to ad-hoc questions and inquiries regarding their personal tax affairs.
  • Provide exceptional client service and maintain regular contact with client teams.

Requirements

  • Experience gained within a professional services firm.
  • Good knowledge of personal tax compliance and ideally some exposure to planning/advisory work.
  • Ability to plan workload to prioritize work and meet conflicting deadlines.
  • Good written communication skills to draft correspondence with clients and HMRC.
  • Good interpersonal skills to liaise with clients and other staff members.
  • Customer focus on meeting deadlines and responding to client needs.
