At CV-Library, we are seeking an Inventory Control Specialist to join our team in Glasgow.

About the Role

This exciting opportunity involves managing and maintaining accurate stock levels, monitoring inventory movement, and ensuring compliance with company policies. The successful candidate will coordinate closely with suppliers, warehouse staff, and other departments to optimize inventory management and prevent disruptions to production or sales.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Maintain and monitor inventory levels, ensuring accuracy and minimizing discrepancies.
  2. Track and record stock levels, deliveries, and stock movements in the system.
  3. Conduct regular stock audits and cycle counts to verify inventory accuracy.
  4. Oversee stock replenishment and ensure timely ordering of items.
  5. Coordinate with suppliers for timely and accurate deliveries.
  6. Resolve any discrepancies or issues related to stock deliveries with suppliers.
  7. Negotiate with vendors to optimize costs and ensure the best terms for procurement.
  8. Update and maintain the inventory management system with current stock levels, item information, and transactions.
  9. Ensure all inventory-related data is accurate and up-to-date.
  10. Generate and review inventory reports to monitor stock performance, usage trends, and potential shortages.
  11. Work closely with procurement, sales, warehouse, and production teams to align inventory levels with business needs.
  12. Provide inventory status updates and reports to relevant stakeholders.
  13. Stay up-to-date with best practices in inventory management and suggest enhancements to increase efficiency.
Requirements
  1. Proven experience (2+ years) in inventory control, supply chain, or warehouse management.

The salary for this role is estimated to be around £35,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience.
