Quarry Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Quarry Manager to join our team at FCC Environment. As a Quarry Manager, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of Jackdaw Crag Quarry, ensuring compliance with The Quarries Regulations 1999 and all FCC/DQL systems and procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and supervise operations at Jackdaw Crag Quarry, ensuring safe and productive working practices.
- Operate the quarry in accordance with Health and Safety documents, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.
- Ensure management control and supervision of all activities on site, promoting environmentally considerate work practices.
- Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments, identifying areas for improvement.
- Implement key Health and Safety legislation, including the Quarries Regulations 1999, throughout the site.
- Stay up-to-date with relevant legislation and industry developments, ensuring the quarry remains compliant and efficient.
- Undertake work on projects, contributing to the development of the quarry and the company.
- Hold or be working towards QCF Level 4 (or above) in Mineral Extractives Management.
- Have experience and/or knowledge of Fixed and Mobile Quarry Production Plant.
- Be competent in IT programs such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Possess good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Hold or be willing to work towards a Shot Firing Certificate and eventually undertake the Explosives Supervisor examinations.
