About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Ecology professional to lead our national team of ecologists. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing and developing our ecology workload, providing technical leadership on ecological impact assessments, and ensuring that our work is completed in accordance with the latest guidance and legislation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and develop our national team of ecologists
  • Provide technical leadership on ecological impact assessments
  • Ensure that our work is completed in accordance with the latest guidance and legislation
  • Work collaboratively with other teams within the business
  • Provide technical input into tenders
  • Lead surveys in your technical specialism
Requirements
  • Chartered member of CIEEM
  • Experience in a wide range of survey methods for protected species and habitats
  • Proven experience in ecological impact assessment, ideally including for Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects
  • Excellent written and reviewing skills
  • Thorough understanding of ecological legislative and planning policy framework
  • Previous management experience
