Job Overview

We are seeking an Electronics Design Team Manager to lead the design, construction, and commissioning of electrical and electronic systems for our projects. This role requires strong expertise in electrical/electronics engineering, project management, and team motivation.

The ideal candidate will have experience managing multi-disciplinary teams, creating and assessing comprehensive work packs, and expertise in technical writing, specifications, standards, and testing.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage direct reports by prioritising tasks, monitoring progress, and ensuring responsibilities and programme requirements are met.
  • Promote a safe working culture, ensuring compliance with site and regulatory rules, and proactively organising necessary training for team members.
  • Develop detailed work packages and Gantt charts for larger projects, providing regular updates to the Group Leader on progress, challenges, and personnel workload.
Requirements
  • A Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or a related discipline, and relevant professional experience in an electrical/electronic engineering role.
  • A practical approach combined with an expert understanding of electrical and electronics engineering theory and practice.
  • A strong, demonstrable track record of delivering complex Electronic and Electrical projects to time and budget.
