Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic individual to join our Research Department as a Clinical Trials Assistant. The successful candidate will provide administrative and clinical support to our team, enabling the successful running of clinical trials in a healthcare setting.

About the Role

The Clinical Trials Assistant will be responsible for providing data management, administrative, and some clinical support for clinical trial activities according to Good Clinical Practice (GCP), standard operating procedures (SOPs), and trust policies. The post holder will work closely with the multi-disciplinary team to deliver trials to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to the Research team, including data management and clinical trial activities.
  • Assist in the set-up of new trials and ongoing management of existing trials.
  • Support the clinical team in trial activities, including collecting trial data and completing data collection forms.
  • Work closely with the multi-disciplinary team to deliver trials to a high standard.
Person Specification

We are looking for an individual with:

  • Literacy and numeracy level 2 or equivalent (GCSE A-C).
  • Demonstrate a good command of the English language both written and verbal.
  • NVQ level 3 or equivalent or above or willing to work towards this award.

Desirable qualifications include knowledge of GCP ICH and experience of working with a variety of online and computer systems.
