About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our team at a successful 11-19 academy in south Manchester. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with additional needs, including SEMH, ASD, behavioural needs, and ADHD.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support small groups of students with additional needs in a collaborative and inclusive environment
  • Work closely with the SEN support team and SENCO to develop and implement individualized support plans
  • Assist in delivering a broad curriculum based on key skills and ASDAN strategies
  • Support the senior leader responsible for behaviour in maintaining a positive and safe learning environment
  • Collaborate with the child's team around the child to ensure comprehensive support

Requirements
  • A minimum of six weeks' experience of working with children aged 11-19 in the last three years, supported by references
  • An Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable), and professional references checks
  • A CV with 10 years of employment/education history, including any employment breaks explained
  • The legal right to work in the UK
