About the Role

The University College Birmingham is looking for a skilled trades instructor to teach and mentor students in carpentry and multi-skills. As a lecturer in this role, you will be responsible for designing and delivering engaging lessons, as well as assessing student progress.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carpentry and multi-skills, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. They will also have the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, with a commitment to delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences.

The estimated salary for this role is £35,600 - £43,800 per annum, based on location and experience. We also offer access to ongoing professional development opportunities, including training and mentorship.

Key Responsibilities

  • To teach and assess students on a range of carpentry and multi-skills courses.
  • To develop and deliver high-quality course materials, including lesson plans and assessments.
  • To contribute to the development of our curriculum, including the design and delivery of new courses.
