About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust. As a Housekeeper, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our wards, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our patients and staff.

Main Responsibilities

  • Ensure the ward is consistently stocked with necessary equipment and supplies.
  • Work with Estates to report and monitor any faults or maintenance issues.
  • Take responsibility for maintaining a high standard of cleanliness throughout the ward.
  • Coordinate the ordering of supplies and stock levels with the Materials Management team.
  • Ensure all electrical equipment is PAT tested and safe for use.

Requirements

  • GCSE English and maths grades A - C or equivalent.
  • Good standard of literacy and numeracy.
  • Punctual and reliable.
  • Flexible in hours of work to meet the needs of the service.
  • Ability to wear full range of appropriate PPE throughout the working day.

Desirable Qualifications and Experience

  • Previous experience in Housekeeping, cleaning, or stock management.
  • NVQ 2 level in healthcare.
  • Evidence of personal development in previous employment.
