About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Housekeeper at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust. As a key member of our facilities team, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our wards, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our patients, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the ward is consistently stocked with necessary equipment and supplies.
  • Work with Estates to report and monitor any faults or maintenance issues.
  • Contribute to the upkeep of cleanliness and maintenance, adhering to high standards of hygiene and infection control.
  • Collaborate with the clinical and nursing team to ensure a smooth and efficient working environment.
  • Assist with the ordering and management of stock, including non-stock items, using Integra and NHS Supply Chain.
  • Ensure all electrical equipment is PAT tested and safe for use.

Requirements

  • Punctual and reliable with a flexible approach to working hours.
  • Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Basic computer literacy and ability to use IT systems, including email.
  • GCSE English and maths grades A-C or equivalent, with a good standard of literacy and numeracy.
