About the Role

We are seeking a Graduate Teaching Assistant to support students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in our schools across South Yorkshire.

As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside experienced teachers and support staff to provide individualized support to students with varying disabilities.

Your role will involve assisting with lesson planning, delivering small group and one-to-one support, and contributing to the development of students' learning plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist and support students with SEND in their learning
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and support staff to ensure a safe and productive learning environment
  • Manage student behavior and provide positive reinforcement
  • Support students with personal care and moving and handling tasks
Requirements

We are looking for a Graduate Teaching Assistant who is passionate about supporting students with SEND and has a patient and understanding approach.

Previous experience working with children or adults with SEND is preferred but not essential.

You will need to be flexible and able to work in a variety of settings, including schools and community centers.
