Spire Little Aston Hospital is seeking a skilled Housekeeper to join our team on a Part Time and Permanent basis. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality housekeeping services to the hospital and auxiliary buildings.

Role purpose - To ensure that the highest quality patient satisfaction is achieved by maintaining the cleanliness of the hospital in line with Spire policies and regulatory governing bodies.

You will work as part of the evening housekeeping team roster.

18 hours per week - 3 shifts per week, Monday to Sunday

We can be flexible on shift times - either or.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. To ensure all areas of the hospital are cleaned in line with policies and all relevant paperwork is completed.
  2. To report any building and fabric issues.
  3. To carry out scheduled flushing lists within the hospital.
  4. To ensure all equipment is thoroughly cleaned at the end of each shift and left in a high standard.
  5. To maintain a good standard of Health & Safety and COSHH legislations.
  6. To promote the Spire behaviours.

Requirements:

  1. You will need to have a great attitude and work ethic.
  2. Ideal experience in a professional cleaning capacity.
  3. Flexible to work night shifts with some weekends.
  4. Experience of working in a similar role in a customer-facing environment.
  5. Awareness and understanding of Health & Safety at Work and COSHH.
  6. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  7. IT literate and a competent user of the MS Office suite of products.
  8. A high degree of accuracy and a methodical approach to workload.
  9. Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships, both internally and externally.
  10. Highly numerate.
  11. Able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
  12. Ability to work on own initiative and prioritise demanding workloads accordingly.
  13. Your personal appearance must be of a high standard as expected within a healthcare profession.
