About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Software Engineer who can work with exacting standards and deliver high-quality solutions. As a key member of our newly formed development team, you will have the chance to grow professionally and make a significant impact on our product.
Key Skills and Qualifications- OOP Principles and Design Patterns: Essential for designing scalable and maintainable software systems.
- MVC Framework: Proven experience with this framework is required for building robust and efficient applications.
- Server-Side JavaScript: Strong proficiency in server-side JavaScript is necessary for developing dynamic web applications.
- Git: Familiarity with Git is essential for version control and collaboration.
- Linux Shell: Experience with Linux shell commands is required for troubleshooting and system administration.
- SQL/NoSQL: Knowledge of both SQL and NoSQL databases is necessary for storing and retrieving data efficiently.
- API Development: Proven experience in designing and implementing RESTful APIs is required.
- PHP: Familiarity with PHP frameworks and libraries is desirable.
- Typescript: Experience with Typescript is beneficial for large-scale application development.
- AWS: Knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS) is desirable for cloud-based infrastructure management.
- SOLID Principles: Understanding of SOLID principles is essential for writing clean and maintainable code.
- Financial Services Experience: Experience working in financial services would be a great advantage.
The salary for this position is up to £50,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a range of benefits, including share options, pension scheme, flexible working hours, and private medical insurance.
Location and CommuteThis role is based in Chester and offers hybrid working, with 2 days spent in the office and 3 days worked remotely. The location is easily commutable from Wrexham, Warrington, Liverpool, North Wales, and Runcorn.
