Special Education Tutor Position in Islington

Prospero Teaching is seeking a qualified and experienced Special Educational Needs (SEN) Tutor to deliver tuition on a 1:1 basis to young people with complex special educational needs in the Islington area.
About the Role- Deliver tailored lessons to bridge gaps in pupil's education and boost attainment levels.
- Work with students who are currently seeking education other than at school, providing support in Maths and English.
- Conduct baseline assessments to determine suitable curriculum and learning plans.
- QTS or equivalent teaching qualifications preferred.
- Demonstrated experience working with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
- UK classroom teaching experience and ability to deliver tailored lesson plans.
- Patient and creative approach to working with challenging behaviour and disengaged pupils.
- Estimated salary: £25 per hour.
- Part-time position up to 25 hours per week.
- Ongoing contract until a school placement is found.
- Hold the Right to Work in the UK.
- Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application.
- Provide two professional child-related references.
