Job Summary

We are looking for a talented Global Financial Operations Leader to join our team in Budapest. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial strategy, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting for our UK and Hungarian entities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the financial vision for our UK and Hungarian entities, aligning with long-term business objectives and growth targets.
  • Drive the financial planning cycle, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis, to provide actionable insights to the leadership team.
  • Play a key role in driving digital transformation by implementing best-in-class financial systems and processes to streamline operations and enhance accuracy across regions.
  • Manage year-end and interim UK audit, ensuring compliance with local regulations.
  • Develop and implement risk management frameworks to identify, assess, and mitigate financial and operational risks across both regions.
  • Establish strong internal controls to safeguard company assets and reduce financial exposure, particularly in the UK and Hungary.
  • Act as the key financial liaison for both internal and external stakeholders, including investors, auditors, and financial partners.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Strong background in managing financial operations in the events, media, or tech industries, preferably across international markets.
  • In-depth knowledge of financial regulations and experience managing multi-region financial accounts.
  • Expertise in managing P&L, forecasting, budgeting, and financial reporting in high-growth companies.
  • An advanced degree (MBA, CPA, or equivalent) is preferred.
