Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Corporate Governance Specialist to join our team at CMC Markets. As a key member of our Corporate Secretariat, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our Corporate Governance function.

Key Responsibilities
  • Corporate Governance Support: Provide effective support to our Corporate Governance function, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Board and Committee Support: Assist with the preparation and administration of Board and Committee meetings, including the production of minutes and other documentation.
  • Share Scheme Administration: Oversee the administration of our executive and employee share schemes, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Monitor and ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements, including the Companies Act, UK Corporate Governance Code, and Listing Rules.
  • Governance Projects: Assist with governance projects, including intra-group restructurings, liquidations, and strike-offs.
  • Training and Development: Assist with the training and development of junior team members.
  • Communication and Liaison: Act as a conduit for communication and liaison with internal and external stakeholders, including tax, financial, legal, compliance, and risk teams.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: CGI qualified.
  • Experience: Proven experience in a listed environment, with a strong understanding of corporate governance and regulatory requirements.
  • Skills: Strong communication, interpersonal, team working, and organizational skills, with the ability to use these skills to develop and coach junior team members.
  • Technology: Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Share Portals.
