Medical Laboratory Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Medical Laboratory Assistant to join our dynamic team at Aneurin Bevan University Health Board. As a Medical Laboratory Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the Pre-Analytical department, ensuring the efficient preparation and processing of clinical specimens for biological testing.
Key Responsibilities- Receipt, sorting, and registering pathology samples
- Preparing clinical specimens for biological testing
- Performing sample handling and clerical duties to ensure the efficient running of the department
- Data input into departmental computer systems, report filing, and response to telephone enquiries
- Receiving, sorting, and distributing samples to the appropriate laboratory or section
- Basic general knowledge
- Previous work experience
- Keyboard skills
- Aware of hospital setting
