Design Manager Job Description

As a Design Manager at Galliford Try Group, you will be responsible for leading the design management process for infrastructure projects. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinating design input and review to ensure designs are safe, efficient, and compliant with standards
  • Leading on undertaking or liaising with the Principal Designer organisational role
  • Acting as the Service Manager for the NEC4 Professional Service Contract with Consultants
  • Developing and operating Design Management Plans, BIM Execution Plans, and associated documents
  • Ensuring design management processes and systems are operating effectively

You will work closely with stakeholders, including the Client, public, construction team, suppliers, and third-party asset owners and consenting bodies. Your ability to apply theoretical and practical methods to manage the design of infrastructure will be essential in this role.
