Mental Health Support Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated Mental Health Support Assistant to work with a Secondary School in Havering. As a compassionate Psychology Graduate, you will provide individualised support to students, working closely with teachers, parents, and external professionals to develop strategies and create a positive school culture.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Psychology Graduate to gain class-based experience and contribute to the mental wellbeing of young people. You will have the chance to learn from experienced professionals and develop your skills in supporting students with complex needs.
The successful candidate will have outstanding GCSEs and A-Levels, with a strong understanding of mental health and various ways to support students. Previous child-centred experience is preferred but not essential.
As a Mental Health Support Assistant, you will work on a direct 1:1 basis with students, monitoring their progress and providing tailored support. You will also be responsible for creating a positive school culture that prioritises mental health.
We offer a competitive salary of up to £500 per week, paid weekly via PAYE, and term-time only working. On-the-job training is provided, and you will have the opportunity to work with external professionals who can share their expertise.
