About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Food Service Assistant to join our team at Elysium Healthcare. As a Food Service Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our chefs to prepare meals, maintain a clean and safe working environment, and assist with deliveries.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist catering staff with meal preparation and cooking, adhering to company policies and procedures.
- Serve food and beverages to service users, staff, and visitors.
- Maintain storage procedures and stock rotation to ensure efficient inventory management.
- Clean and store equipment, furniture, and areas to meet operational hygiene standards.
- Collaborate with the catering team to ensure the kitchen and associated areas meet company policies and procedures.
- Liaise with dietitians regarding dietary and planned meals.
Requirements
- Relevant catering qualification (desirable).
- Knowledge of COSHH and HACCP.
- Experience working in a similar role.
- Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
