About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our team at a fantastic trust in Tiverton, Devon. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with high-functioning autism and ADHD, providing essential care and support to ensure their academic and personal success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide general classroom support, including 1:1 and small group interventions when necessary.
  • Assist the teacher with lesson preparation, supervision, resource gathering, and activity set up.
  • Ensure the safeguarding and wellbeing of all students, fostering a safe and supportive environment.
  • Effectively manage behaviour in line with students' EHCPs and meet their individual needs.
  • Facilitate students' access to the curriculum and help them engage in their learning.
About You
  • You are passionate about supporting young people, particularly those with autism and ADHD.
  • You are proactive, resilient, and eager to actively contribute to the school community.
  • You have a good sense of humour and enjoy working collaboratively within a team.
  • You can build strong, positive relationships with students, staff, and parents/carers.
  • Prior experience working with individuals with autism and ADHD is desirable.
