Job Title: Risk and Compliance Associate

Location: Bristol

Contract Details: Permanent, Full Time

Salary: £60,000-£65,000 DOE

About Our Client:

We are excited to be recruiting a new Risk and Compliance Associate on behalf of our client. Our client is a leading organisation in the legal industry, providing commercially-savvy legal advice and services. They are committed to delivering exceptional risk and compliance solutions, and they are looking for a motivated individual to join their in-house risk and compliance team.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Work closely with the Data Protection Officer and procurement lead to manage data protection, contracting matters, and internal risk management.
  2. Provide contract and professional compliance advice for client tenders, retainer letters, terms of business, and supply contracts.
  3. Support the firm's approach to procurement and supply chain risk management.
  4. Advise stakeholders on the SRA Code of Conduct, data protection, and commercial risk management.
  5. Stay updated on data protection developments and their impact on developing legal services technologies.
  6. Collaborate with various stakeholders, including senior members of the firm and the Digital Data & Technology team.
Requirements:
  1. Commercial law expertise with exposure to data protection law.
  2. Background in non-contentious commercial/contracting/procurement work.
  3. Excellent strategic project management, planning, and advisory skills.
