Business Development Manager - FMCG Equipment Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to join our Sales Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining the company's business in Northern England, Scotland, Northern Ireland, and Ireland.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical and commercial support to new and existing customers, including site audits and customer training.
  • Identify, monitor, and liaise with new and existing customers to build and maintain effective relationships.
  • Help customers maintain products to maximise the total cost of ownership and minimise production downtime.
  • Research and develop opportunities to grow new business.
  • Prepare sales forecasts and monthly reports to monitor sales performance.
  • Provide customer, competitor, and marketing data to grow turnover, volume, and profitability.
  • Assist in developing and executing the company's Sales & Marketing Strategy and Group Accounts.
  • Identify and manage threats and opportunities to the company's business.
Requirements:
  • Higher educational qualifications or relevant experience.
  • Mechanical engineering qualifications or relevant experience/technical bias.
  • Experience of developing and maintaining effective relationships with new and existing customers.
  • Experience in the manufacturing area of FMCG sector or similar would be advantageous.
Salary and Benefits:

Salary: £35,000 to £42,500 per annum (depending on experience). Package includes: Company Bonus Scheme, Company Car, Laptop and Mobile, 25 days holiday, Birthday Leave, Training & Development opportunities.
